Seasonal coronavirus protective immunity is short-lasting

A study analyzing infections with four seasonal coronaviruses in humans shows that reinfections can occur within 12 months of initial infection, coupled with changes in virus-specific antibody levels. Thus, protective immunity against seasonal cornonaviruses, including SARS-COV-2, may be short-lived
